Headlines currently on the BBC website
US accuses Russia of cyber attacks
US calls for Russia and Syria war crimes probe
Finland jets monitor Russian fighters on border flights
Russia 'considering military bases in Cuba and Vietnam'
People who are news watchers will be aware of many, many more stories that focus on Russia over the past weeks and months from Russia could invadeEurope in a matter of hours and NATO reinforcements sent to Eastern Europe.
I'm not succumbing to paranoia but i am curious to why Russia has returned to be the major Bogey-man for the West even though the real flash-point some would say is China in the South China Sea and the waters between them and Japan.

It started after WWII, and they have been accusing each others in different issues.Military bases in Cuba and Vietnam ? , I doubt it. Cuba is trying to normalize relation with the US, and Vietnam is a poppy of the US.At the present time Russia has more investment in Latin America that during the times of the Cold War, they made military exercises with Venezuela, and they never did that during the time of the Cold War. The so called socialist Nicaragua made military exercise with the USAI do not see any military confrontation at the present time between the US and Russia. Fidel Castro said that the US wants all countries to possess Machetes, Mochas and Kitchen knifes, and Russia has more modern weapons now than during the Cold War
October 9, 2016 at 1:50 am #122290alanjjohnstoneKeymasterGerman Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier says tensions between Russia and the US are “more dangerous’ than those of the Cold War era."It's a fallacy to think that this is like the Cold War. The current times are different and more dangerous."Steinmeier noted that the conflicts in Syria and Ukraine and a recent lapse in nuclear cooperation between the two Cold War era enemies were fueling animosity between the two countries. Steinmeier noted the tensions are more dangerous, because the Cold War had "red lines” which were respected by both countries, but the current multi-polar environment has so many regional conflicts that make geopolitics "more unpredictable."http://www.presstv.ir/Detail/2016/10/08/488230/germany-us-russia-steinmeier

It is portrayed in the media as Russian sabre rattling, when Russia is responding to NATO sabre rattling in former Soviet countries, such as Poland. Germany will feel like a vulnerable, 'pig in the middle', as it depends of gas coming through Ukraine, I think and sanctions imposed on Russia have a punitive effect on German trade also.

It was not the fall of the so called communist block, another form of capitalism was establishedThe miracle of Germany has been produced due to the emigration of cheap labor from Eastern Europe and the middle east, and the destruction of most of the workers unionThe US capitalists imposed an economical embargo against the empire of Japan, and they responded with a military assault, and US capitalists responded with a war. Russia like in the old days of the Soviet Union is seating on top of gas and oil, and it is a big producer and exporter of both , Anybody who believe in the Western propaganda that this is fight against a dictator named Putin, has been brainwashed, it is another confrontation for oil, ( like in the Middle east ) and Putin is one of the richest man of EuropeMarket is the causes of war, and peace among the capitalists is also a continuation of their war. Capital itself is one of the enemies of the capitalist class
