MINUTES OF EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING NO. 150
Head Office, Sunday, April 5, 2015: Called to order: 7:18 PM
Present (Members): Binay Sarkar, Harisadhan Ghosh, Sumitra Mondal, Pradip Kumar Singha.
Absent: Biswarup Chaudhuri (work), Dipak Kumar Bhattacharya (rain)
Attendee: Aloke Bhattacharya, Raghunarayan Chaudhury.
Election: Chairperson: Sumitra Mondal – moved Binay Sarkar, seconded Harisadhan Ghosh; Minutes writer – Pradip Kumar Singha.
EC Minutes No. 149 was read and confirmed on motion of Binay Sarkar and Harisadhan Ghosh

Inward:
– MANIPUR: The literature packets from the WSP (I) and the SPGB have arrived there. Today a Study Circle was organized by Ch. Premchandra Singh. The meeting was held at Khurai Puthiba Leikai, Imphal – 10, Manipur. At 2.49 PM he called up B. Sarkar to report about their meeting. Just now he has reported again via to-and-fro mobile messages that their study was called to order at 1 PM. Some 12 out of 15 invitees attended. The other 3 couldn’t attend due to heavy rains. Participants read into three of our documents – INTRODUCTION, WSP (I) Manifesto and Rules. They have decided to print the party’s Membership Application Form for prospective members. They intend to launch a WSP (I) Branch there. They will meet again next Sunday with more invitees. The meeting was adjourned at 3 PM.
– TAMIL NADU: C. R. Bharathi Kannan (ref. Ch. Premchandra Singh) is in contact with B. Sarkar. He is reading our literature. Our Companion Parties should send literature to his address: 11, Perialwar Street, East Tambaram, Chennai – 59, TN, INDIA. Email: crbharathikannan@gmail.com
– NIGERIA: Eghaghe Famous has received our [WSP (I) and SPGB] literature packets. Now he is reading.
– Bhaskar Sur of the Radical Humanist Association, (adjacent to Coffee House, Second Floor), 15 Bankim Chatterjee Street, Kolkata – 700073, has proposed via phone call that their members are asking to hold a discussion meeting in the first week of this May on the subject: Relevance of Marxism today. B. Sur has invited B. Sarkar to speak on the subject. Our comrades have agreed to participate. Email: bhaskar_radical@yahoo.com

– B. Sarkar and Gorachand Paraminik are in regular contact with Ch. Premchandra Singh via mobile phones.
– B. Sarkar is also in regular correspondence with Marxist Eghaghe Fame (Nigeria) and C. R. Bharathi Kannan (Tamil Nadu, India)
Advancement of the Movement:
[B,Sarkar, D. Bhattacharya and P. Singha are regularly posting and interacting on facebook timelines of all “friends”. Harisadhan Ghosh is writing letters and articles in Bengali which are being published in various Kolkata based Bengali dailies.]

Socialist Standard April 2015 packets are yet to arrive. It has been reported that the SPGB literature packets have arrived at Manipur and Nigeria.

[SBI S/B A/C: has been closed by the bank. Rs 2,607.34 are to be realized from the bank via a new Current Account that requires a PAN number. We have received the revised PAN card. Now the problem is to arrange for the constant minimum bank deposit (Rs. 10,000.00 to open the Current Account]
