I was wondering about things like this in the aftermath of the Danish election.
Left of centre governments now only represent 36% of the EU's citizens:

Noticeably, there seems to have been a big swing right back in 2011. With a centre right domination of the EU Parliament, and the Council fo Ministers, we can look forward to a co-ordinated kicking.
