MINUTES OF EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING NO. 148

EC Minutes No. 147 was read and confirmed on motion of Binay Sarkar and Sumitra Mondal

Membership Application: Gorachand Paramanik had submitted his application for membership on 06-01-2015 via email attachment. General Secretary B. Sarkar had spoken to him over phone for confirmation. He had also communicated the message on 10-01-2015 to the General Secretary of the SPGB in response to his email of 09-01-2015.

Correspondence: Please note that any comments in square brackets “[]” are comments from the General Secretary.

– In the run of the meeting Gorachand Paramanik made a phone call and during conversation confirmed his willingness to join the WSP (I)

MSC: That we bring to the WSPNZ’s notice that they have made a mistake in writing our party’s name; instead of the “Socialist Party of India” they ought to call our proper name: WORLD SOCIALIST PARTY (INDIA)

[B,Sarkar, D. Bhattacharya and P. Singha are regularly posting and interacting on facebook timelines of all “friends”. Harisadhan Ghosh is regularly (every week) writing letters and articles in Bengali which are being published in various Kolkata based Bengali dailies.]

Sunday Discussion: Every Sunday in the evening we meet to read and discuss Marxian Economics and other selected subjects.

[SBI S/B A/C: has been closed by the bank. Rs 2,607.34 are to be realized from the bank via a new Current Account that requires a PAN number. However, in the mean time we’ve received a PAN card with erroneous entry. So our new account has to be opened after we get our PAN card corrected]
