Remember when George Bush nationalised more wealth than Lenin could have dreamt of?  Well, state capitalism is alive and kicking in the US.

The question is not whether the department of energy has made some bad loans (if it hasn’t, it’s not taking enough risks). It’s whether it has a pattern of bad loans. And the answer is no. Last week the department revealed that the programme that included Solyndra is on track to return profits of $5 billion or more.

One programme in the department of Energy returned $5 billion profit.  The ideologists who scream about freedom and enterprise need to look at what the US is today: a deeply state run country and economy.

Beyond that, we see the G20 talking abhout planning for world growth: a planned economy is emerging.  It just isn't planned in our interest.  The invisible hand has lost, it's no longer a question of principle, but of politics: who gets to benefit from the planning?

The irony is  they had to to murder millions of native american communists to achieve it.
