Now living under a military dictatorship.

Thailand's political in-fighting elites has now progressed to a military coup.

I live in a very rural hamlet so had no knowledge of today's development until i switched on the TV and found all the channels off the air with patriotic music and pictures of the armed forces emblems. So don't expect any rivetting on-the-spot insights.

But I am sure the cancellation of the very popular soaps will displease many Thai people much more than a change in Thailand rulers in Bangkok. 

I noted that the leader of the Red Shirts has responded to events with the motto of the Scottish Tartan Army …" whatever happens will happen"
