Have you guys seen this? http://www.iopsociety.org/. Looks to have quite a few members already (including Noam Chomsky). I largely agree with it but they're maintaining a monetary system which lets it down I think. Still, an interesting idea. I notice they're avoiding the word "Socialism"

Its Michael Albert's of Parecon vision of a political party.  Plenty of bs with little substance and seeking to impress those who seem to think a nice kind of capitalism is possible.  Ugh!

It's not a particularly interesting idea and they're avoiding the word socialism because what they're proposing, isn't.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r1H0gtZWFE8

There's also this written exchange between us and the man himself:http://www.worldsocialism.org/spgb/socialist-standard/2000s/2006/no-1220-april-2006/parecon-or-socialismParecon is a utopian blueprint for the oxymoronic concept of a "market socialism".

As you see, the above comments are not made from ignorance. We fully understand Albert's position and disagree with its basics, regardless of the endorsements he has received from the likes of Chomsky. The You Tube video Gnome linked you to is of  the SPGB debate with him a couple of years back
