I pasted some text into the editor and when I posted it (Religious Bullying, post no. 4), the line breaks had disappeared. I edited it, put in some more line breaks and re-saved, but they had all gone again.
Any suggestions?

Click on this and select 'Full HTML' instead of the default option. This usually sorts the problem you encountered in the post referred to which has now been edited accordingly.
August 26, 2013 at 1:34 am #95846alanjjohnstoneKeymasterI too have suffered the same problem and the advice you gave was the same but unfortunately I have "disable(or enable) rich text" under my box., nothing about "input format" or "full HTML" The problem doesn't appear to be when directly typing a message but arises if pasting on to it.

August 26, 2013 at 6:47 am #95848ALBKeymasterWhat I do when this happens (sometimes when pasting a text typed somewhere else) is click "Disable rich-text" and insert </p><p> where you want the line break(s).Then press Preview" to see if it has worked.Just has for me.
August 26, 2013 at 7:06 am #95849PJShannonKeymasterThe 'Full HTML' and other options are only available to users with expanded permissions.ALB's suggestion of adding paragraph tags should work as a workaround. The problem seems to be due to the fact that <br> tags are currently dissallowed in the default profile. I'm guessing that if I allow it at this stage it will cause problems with pages and posts that have already been uploaded.I'll see if I can create a new posting permissions profile for standard users next time I do some work on the site.
August 26, 2013 at 9:09 am #95850rodshawParticipantIf I edit my account settings and click Input Format under the edit box, there's something about filtered HTML with or without line breaks. Is that anything to do with it?I have it set to the first option.
August 26, 2013 at 9:26 am #95851PJShannonKeymasterYou won't be able to add new permissions to your account yourself. You could try the different HTML options, but I think the solution is the one mentioned above by ALB.
August 26, 2013 at 10:28 am #95852alanjjohnstoneKeymasterALB's suggestion worked for my post at unity thread but its awkward placing the </p><p> before the div/divs.
