This thread is dedicated to songs that are amazing, but are hardly ever played on the radio.

To start it off: War Paint by the Brook Brothers

Best lyric: “You may think that you look cute. I don’t think it’s funny when you ruin my suit!”

Life’s Been Good by Joe Walsh

Best lyric: I have a mansion, forget the price. Ain’t never been there, they tell me it’s nice.”

How many music threads are there on here now?

Don’t tempt me, or I’ll start a dedicated Christmas music thread. It’s that time of year.

I do like that Nick Lowe song, though.

    Crazy Love by the Kez

I’m cheating with this one because they’re an amateur band, therefore, this wouldn’t be played on the radio.

    – Imposs1904

“If music be the food of love, play on.”

Nobody Needs your Love – Gene Pitney (written by Randy Newman)

This doesn’t sound like a Randy Newman song until Pitney sings: “Nobody needs your love more than I do.”

Don’t Call Me Baby – Voice of the Beehive

V of the B were a new wave rock band*, made-up of: two American sisters; two former members of Madness; and another bloke.

*Funnily enough, it was David Bowie who coined the term: new wave rock.

Here’s a great Italian song: Senza una Donna – Zucchero. There was also a semi-English language version of this song released, which featured Paul Young.

‘Senza una donna’ means without a woman; ‘zucchero’ means sugar; and ‘Paul Young’ means Paul not old. If you think the main reason I posted this song was to make that joke, you are correct.

Kissing with Confidence – Will Powers, featuring Carly Simon.

    Best 3 lyrics:

‘Will I spoil it with my overbite?’
‘Will are noses bump in the moonlight?’
‘Remember, you cannot get pregnant from kissing.’
