Hi everyone. Does anyone know of the work of Paul Cockshott? He has a YouTube channel and has been an active advocate for socialism since the 1970’s. He wrote “Towards a New Socialism” in 1993. Here’s his website:
I have a copy of ‘Classical Econophysics’, to which he is a major contributor. It’s a very interesting book. I appreciate the technical socialist analysis of capitalist economics, so I’m glad of the work he does in that respect.

Yes, I have read some of his stuff. I have mixed views on him. His empirical work in relation to the LTV is useful but he is an advocate of labour time accounting and central planning, both of which are highly questionable. In his book “Towards a New Socialism” he seems to imagine that the state-capitalist Soviet Union was essentially “socialist” but marred by the fact that it lacked a democratic form of governance
