Head Office has received an email about a two-hour video on the life and ideas of CLR James, the one-time Trotskyist and later Pan Africanist. He was one of the Trotskyists who came to argue that Russia was state capitalism. Later one he abandoned vanguardist politics.
James knew the Party in the 1930s as he quotes from an article in the Socialist Standard in his book on World Revolution and he was due to debate the Party in the 1930s when he was a member of the ILP.
