The latest development has been the excuse of the pandemic to disperse Reclaim the Night protest at Clapham Common rather than exercise discretion as they had with last years BLM?
Could it be because the focus was upon them, the police?

I think I heard right but the media mentioned “Reclaim the Streets” as behind the court action to overturn the ban on that vigil on Clapham Common (incidentally an unwise move as the law, like it or not, is clear, and I was always told “if you don’t like the answer, don’t ask the question).
Is this the same group as was active in the 1990s in various attempts to stop motorways and by-passes being built (all of which failed)? We even debated with them.
Have they recycled themselves as a feminist group or has someone revived their name?

The death of teacher Blair Peach by the SPG Unit (Special Patrol Group, since disbanded) in Southall on a rally against the Anti Nazis League. The weapon (a mental cosh) was found in a police locker, only used by the SPG. But there was no evidence to who owned the weapons?

This didn’t apply in the George Floyd case……ALL Afro Americans were seen as culpable as George Floyd!
The same didn’t apply to the 3 boys and the manslaughter of PC Harper. ALL Roma people were just as culpable. Let’s keep the same energy.

The European Court of Human Rights is a court of the Council of Europe and nothing to do with the EU. Britian joined the Council of Europe in 1949 and ratified the European Convention on Human Rights in 1953. The Human Rights Act incorporated the ECHR into British Law. Despite what Farage and the slack jawed loons say, leaving the EU has had no impact on this. The Human Rights Act still applies and all UK citizens have eventual recourse to the ECHR

Ironically, police are members of the working class, they are salaried employees of the private repressive organ of the capitalist class known as the state, as well, the members of the armed forces, are also members of the working class. The workers who are employed by the armaments industry to produce guns to kill other workers are also members of the working class. I do remember when many Blanquists used to kill a poor policeman to take his gun to be used for the so-called workers’ revolution

I replied to a post saying people are breaking the law, COVID restrictions. I should have replied with: the bombing of schools (Syria) is a war ‘crime.’ The use of Chemical weapons is also illegal and there use is a war crime!
