Just had a listen to this, thought the analysis was quite good:

“Why did some Obama voters flip to Trump in 2016? Some have argued that Obama-Trump voters were motivated by anti-neoliberal sentiment and that therefore the left should pander to the interests of this “forgotten white working class.” However, evidence suggest that this claim of the anti-neoliberal Obama-Trump voter is not accurate. In this episode we get to the bottom of the mystery of the Obama-Trump voter. We will be discussing Andrew Kliman’s recent work analyzing Obama-Trump voters, contrasting his findings with the thinking of much of the mainstream left.

In this episode we also take a moment to discuss some of the current issues surrounding Trump’s increasingly brutal war on immigrants and refugees.”

“Radio Free Humanity is a podcast covering news, politics and philosophy from a Marxist-Humanist perspective. It is co-hosted by Brendan Cooney and Andrew Kliman. We intend to release new episodes every two weeks. Radio Free Humanity is sponsored by Marxist-Humanist Initiative (www.marxisthumanistinitiative.org), but the views expressed by the co-hosts and guests of Radio Free Humanity are their own. They do not necessarily reflect the views and positions of MHI.”

Good point about those Kliman calls the “anti-neoliberals” thinking they can win over people by offering them reforms to improve their economic position as this is all they are assumed to be able to comprehend ie Lenin’s explicit view that the working class are only capable of evolving a “trade union consciousness” but also implicitly held by many non-Leninist left wing reformists like the followers of Bernie Sanders (and in this country of Corbyn).

Nothing however on the MHI policy that socialists should vote for “centrist” Democratic Party candidates to defeat “Trumpism” as a sort of proto-fascism.

Incidentally, is this the sort of thing we could/should be doing (radio broadcasts, I mean, not voting for centrists)?

Perhaps the WSPUS might be interested in this.  I’ll contact them

There are hundreds of Marxist-Leninist groups and leftist organizations which are using Podcast.

The WSWS is reading their daily internet articles through the Podcast. The problem with the MHI is that sound cloud is a paid subscription and they are not going to get too many listeners.

All Marxist-Humanists groups with their limited resources they are doing a very good propaganda job because besides having articles on the internet and Podcast they also have public meetings every month including the IMH and Peter Hudis is giving lectures all the times in different places including China

News and Letters is publishing a bi-monthly newspaper using a workers union printing shop

When you want to do something you can do without being pushed

I wonder why Andrew killman and the IMH fell in the trap of the anti-Trumpism They should have known that the problem is not a president or the super estructure but the capitalist system as whole mode of production He is going to be replaced by another capitalist leader to administer the capitalist state

The podcast is free to listen to, both on the MHI site and via SoundCloud. SoundCloud isn’t only a paid-for service.

Episode 2 is out now as well – https://www.marxisthumanistinitiative.org/episode-2-fighting-white-nationalism

This second podcast is even worse than the first. Kliman describes Trumpism as  a “mortal threat” understood literally as a threat to the life of people like him (and us) who risk being “liquidated”. He describes Trump as a “proto-fascist” who represents a threat to “liberal democracy” and “the rule of law” in the US and talks of him declaring himself “President for life” and exiling his opponents in Congress.  Naturally he argues in favour of impeaching Trump,  and he calls for mass protests and general strikes to bring down his government. He doesn’t actually call here for workers to vote for his Democratic Party opponent, whoever he or she might be, in next year’s presidential elections (the easiest way to get rid of him, if that’s your priority). Maybe that’s for the third part.

I can’t understand what’s got into him as a person who has an understanding of how capitalism works; that it can’t be reformed to work in the interest of the working class; and that attempts to reform it lead to state capitalism and not socialism as a society which abolishes “value” (as something that rises only when there’s production for sale). He also understands, as he does point out here. that “the Left” wants power to introduce state capitalism, not the self-emancipation of the working class by conscious, democratic action.

    Very odd.

The real mortal threat is capitalism, it is not an individual. They do not know what Fascism really is, even more, Trotsky himself did not know what Fascism/Nazism really was, and he supported one of the main  component of Fascism/Nazism which is the dictatorship of one party rule. Replacing Donald Trump for another representative of the US ruling class witll not resolve the problem. Many of the policies implemented by Trump they already existed and  they were created by prior presidents including Barrack Obama, Bill Clinton, and  George Bush. They call themselves Marxists but they do not know the character and the history of the capitalist state. The daughter of Noam Chomsky wrote a book named: Undocumented, which shows the real history of immigration, who ever read it will see that nothing about immigration  is new, therefore, Xenophobia, and racism  is not a particular element or component of Fascism which emerged in Itally before WW2
