    Greetings all,

I happen to be a new member of SPGB, and I am curious how do we function.

Say, if I have an idea or a proposal as to how can we better serve our cause, or educate ourselves, or finance the cause, or anything, or a suggestion, if I have such an idea in other parties I would simply contact the central committee.

However, in our case, I see the organisation works differently. I was hoping to get some guidance in this regard.

I have some ideas and proposals which I wish to share but only in a manner which fits the working of the SPGB.

    Thank you.

    Regards,

    David.

    Hi David,

Welcome to the SPGB.  I assume your application went through the Membership Department.  If so a member of that department will make contact with you shortly.

We are not that different. If you have a proposal, detail and describe it in an e-mail to the general secretary requesting it be placed on the agenda for the next EC meeting to discuss.

We do have numerous committees but I am not sure if all are functioning as they should.

If it is a local initiative, you could try contacting your nearest branch.

    Hey David.

Also, feel free to share it here for discussion.

Yes, which part of the country are you in?

    Hi there,

Thank you all for recommendations. I will go with the idea of contacting the general secretary as Alan said because it seems the most reasonable path.

    Best,

    David.

PS: My initiative will be global, and related to education. So country or city branch does not matter.
